159th Edinburgh International Exhibition of Photography 2023
Following our successful return, the 158th Edinburgh International Exhibition 2022 attracted around 2500 visitors. Amongst the visitors we were very honoured to be visited by FIAP president Riccardo Busi. The Edinburgh International is one of the most highly regarded exhibitions in the UK, typically attracting around 3000 entries from all around the world. In our return from a covid absence of 2 years, last year’s entry was very low resulting in a much higher acceptance rate (18%) than is normal for us. This, print only, International Salon is one of the oldest in the world, it was first run in 1861, the year that the American Civil War began. Our Exhibition has since built a strong reputation.
Unlike many exhibitions, we only accept what we can display thus, gaining an acceptance is a high achievement and much sought after. All the prints are on display at Edinburgh Photographic Society’s premises during the Edinburgh Festivals in August. Our International Exhibition receives thousands of visitors, many of whom come year after year to view it. All accepted images appear in the catalogue which has had a FIAP 4/5* rating since 2019. We look forward to welcoming you to the 159th running of the Edinburgh International.
Entries closed on 5th June 2023. The Exhibition runs from 5th to 27th August 2023.
